Professional si Aqoe: How to Renew My PRC ID
Tuesday, May 30, 2017
With the implementation of the requirement of earning certain number of CPD units (Continuing Professional Development) for professionals before we can renew our PRC IDs, Jed and I decided to renew our licenses before it's too late. Well, I was due last year while his ID is due for renewal this year.

When we posted about our trip to PRC -Davao last Thursday, our friends have been asking, how? Dali lang? How much?
So here's to you guys! You're welcome!
There are 2 ways to renew our precious professional licenses which expires every 3 years,
whether we like it or not and whether we are practicing our professions or not.
I remember I renewed my license in SM Lanang Premier Service Center last 2013, and Jed mentioned he got his at SM City Davao Ecoland. That was totally convenient, though I had to wait for more than a month to claim my ID, there was no long queue at all! I'm not sure why PRC decided to pull out the services from SM. sad.
Anyway, there are 2 ways to renew PRC IDS:
Option 1: WALK IN - PRC DAVAO
If you haven't been there ever, just follow the map down below. You'll know you've arrived coz there are a lot of people waiting.
Basically, we just followed the steps here!
Don't worry, everything is done on the spot! But if you don't want to squeeze in a room with faint aircondition, you may have your passport photo taken somewhere else or do the more convenient online registration. I'll be talking about that shortly.
We arrived at PRC around 8:30 AM and we got 2 of the last 12 priority numbers they released that day! Whew! Saved by the bell! We immediately filled out the form with the required information, got our passport sized photo taken which took more or less than 30 minutes, killed time at the Mall then went back as scheduled in the afternoon.
Our renewal forms were then processed by PRC employees. Which was really quick. She just confirmed what I wrote into her computer, scanned my photo and viola! All done! That process was only for about 1-2 minutes. She then advised to go to Door 10- Cashier to pay the required fee. I'm not sure if the fee varies depending on the profession but as nurses, Jed paid 450.00 because his license was still valid, I paid 630.00 because mine expired last year.
If only we came in earlier, our IDs would have been available in at least 2 hours. Unfortunately, it was already half past 3 pm and PRC closes at 5 PM. So, if you want everything processed within the day, get in line by 7 AM to get the earliest priority numbers. Ok?
We came back the Monday after that to collect our new PRC IDs, we went back at Door 9 to get some priority number. Luckily, our numbers were already on queue in Door 2. Yey! The PRC employee took our claim stub and after about 2 minutes, he gave us our fresh from the oven IDs! Woot! Woot!
So, there, easy peasy ayt?
Option 2: ONLINE
Just follow the steps below:
1.Go to this link Renewal of License
2.or scroll down the images.
There you go. Really simple right? No ID, no entry! haha practice your profession with a valid license.
PRC also has other online services, from exam application, initial registration and Batch renewal.
