Pretty Girls :)

Admit it; we all love to have beautiful skin - radiant, smooth and evened skin tone. Don't deny it majority of us have tried almost everything we saw in the beauty section. And as we look at ourselves in the mirror, our pretty little monsterized faces reflect.
After years of trying to find the perfect all-in-one beauty product to solve all my skin problems, I found myself back to basics. Added information were relayed to me by my little sister after her visit to a dermatologist when she got this allergic reaction thing on her foot.
So, here’s a summary of my “research”:
Drink up – we are composed mainly of water and with the Earth growing hotter even when the sun is out and with lots of activities we do to lose some lbs or plainly just wanted to adapt a healthy lifestyle; we lose a whole lot of water.
Hydrate, replenish all that is lost, our bodies need it to function well and feed those cells which are basically, what we’re composed of. Eat fruits with high water content like water melons –that need not a genius to figure out. If you can’t go about drinking up to 8 glasses of water a day and can’t go without your favourite sodas or alcohol, flush it with water, drink up as much alcohol you did.
Vitamin C – we’ve been told that the skin vitamin is Vitamin E, but Dr Derma said that it’s actually Vitamin C. Yes, it not just protects us from flu and boosts our immune system; it also is a very efficient anti-oxidant. So if you’re not a citrus fruit fan which is high in Vitamin C, then get it from the drug store or your friend who sells it – yes, there are lots of networking companies who distribute loads of Vitamin C, they even have the non-acidic Vitamin C. Sweet. :)
Cold over WarmAs warm water would only cause dryness of skin, make it a habit to shower on cold water. Harsh much on a cool early morning or late night bath? This is for your skin, don’t be choosy. :)
Moisturize – Like hydration wasn’t good enough? Joking aside, we need to apply a thin layer of moisturizer on our face, neck and all over our beautiful sexy body. And if you can, grab the ones with SPF (sun protection factor) of at least 20. Others would recommend a higher SPF but it doesn’t matter that much as long as you know how much and how often you apply to preserve that protection you needed while out in the sun. Sunscreen might just save our skin from its doomed aging. By the way, apply sunscreen even if you only have to stay indoors or at night ass our King Sun still radiates some UVA/UVB.
Exfoliate – Our skin would normally scrub off, as new and fresher skin would come out in days. So cleanse your skin regularly. Exfoliate at least every other day or try the gentle ones or for the sensitive skin which you can use every day. Or try this: mix equal amounts of brown sugar and olive oil and use it as your regular scrub.
Be happy – because you can’t change all situations yourself, try to adjust and stay happy. :) Have a happy heart and shine on! :) Flash that mega watt smile and your body will do the healing for you.

About the Blog

WONOLOGUES is an experimental blog I started in 2008. I coined it by combining WOWO+MONOLOGUES. Wowo is my nickname. I was told that it came from the word "wow". I believed them. I envision this blog to be a wonderful monologue as told by Wowo, just a hodgepodge of all things I find wonderful. I just came back from a year of hiatus. New blog posts weekly.
