Travel Wais :)

Travel has been one of the top industries in the world for the past decade, it doesn’t come as a surprise to you right? Yes, coz you want to travel yourself, have been saving up for it or have been finding some time where it can fit your schedule or you’re just waiting that your buddies would accompany you. Whether you want to do it solo or with your closest friends, family, or with your girlfriend/boyfriend, you do it locally or go way travel abroad; you want to have the travel safe and worry-free. So before heading for it, check this few things that might be of big help. :)
Plan in advance to save cash. Of course there are those travels that just go unplanned, but there is really more advantages in planning things way ahead of schedule, right?
So, imagine where you want to go and how you want to spend the vacation. This way you can plan if you should buy a one-way ticket or a roundtrip adventure. To help, you may sign up to airline’s newsletter or watch out online of the promos where you can slash a big sum from the regular market ticket pricings. Some local airlines have “piso fares”, free baggage, etc. While there are lots of travel and tours agencies out there, you just have to check things out yourself. And I’ve heard travel agencies charge a minimum of 300php for tickets on sale from airlines. Then, wholla, book early. J
Do a little homework. Check out online about reviews about your destination and how you can go about your stay there. Or ask friends who’ve been there about their real experiences during their vacay. Learn about the culture, food, fashion and also take time to know where fun is and make a draft of the things you want to do there.
Seize the right day. If you really want to enjoy the place you travel to or just want to avoid squeezing through the crowds, pick flights or travel dates that are close to peak seasons. Obviously, the airline tickets are not sky high, plus all the accommodations may go low. Does law of supply and demand ring a bell? The only fallback here is, if you’re the type that calls for party and chances to meet people, you may opt for the holidays.
Suite Dreams – Go for the hotel rooms which offer quality but charge appropriately. Or if you’re staying for a long time, say more than two weeks, renting an apartelle is a wiser option. It’s like having in your own home but with better accommodations maybe. Or if it is not going to be of much bother, stay in your friend’s or relative’s house. You may pay or not and you will never feel like a stranger. Sweet.
Rent A Car – lots of travel and tours offer this. This can help you save a lot especially if you’re travelling in big groups. Plus, going on for a long distance travel with people you know makes even the journey to the destination, fun and memorable itself.
Pack light – There is really no need to bring your closet and try to fit it in your travel bag. You just might end up being charged a lot for excess baggage in the airport or minimize the space in the car, or you just can’t carry everything. If you’re only going for a week, pack a few essentials, pack pieces you can mix and match. If you’re going to the beach, pack lots of cotton tops and dresses and of course, your bikinis! The rest, leave them in your cabinet please. And of course don’t forget your essentials. This way, you can carry lots of “pasalubong” for your family and friends, shop til you drop without worrying if you can carry them all and have a hassle-free last minute shopping.
Wear the Party Attitude – Of course you will travel to have fun right? Stop frowning and drop all the fears you might have had. Now that you’ve plan your vacation, spend it in as much adventure as you can imagine. Smile and have plus chances of meeting new friends, hot chick, hot guys or a new best friend. And have your camera ready to capture those memories. Enjoy your travel! :)

About the Blog

WONOLOGUES is an experimental blog I started in 2008. I coined it by combining WOWO+MONOLOGUES. Wowo is my nickname. I was told that it came from the word "wow". I believed them. I envision this blog to be a wonderful monologue as told by Wowo, just a hodgepodge of all things I find wonderful. I just came back from a year of hiatus. New blog posts weekly.
