Time Machine :)

So, I've heard this lot of times "If you have a time machine, what moment in your life will you go back to?" And of course, I'd let it out in a scream: HIGH SCHOOL!!!!
Why high school?
Coz high school was way fun! :)

I felt like I wasn't a kid anymore, and was eager to grow up. The very awkward puberty stage, we've all seen each other's pimples, how boys puke over the girls' story telling of their monthly periods. It's the time of my life that I was so desperate to look good and ending up failing all the time. See, I used to have this horrible hair (unkempt and all, like a taong-greasy), I remember how one classmate's hair doctor (the fad comb that time) ended up into bits and pieces of needles after running through my rocky road hair. I can't forget how pimples kept showing at the most noticeable spots when I have a new crush. And yeah, I was the Math whiz, I know that Bren was more brilliant in Math but I was just exposed in the lime light I don't get that scared with quiz bees. haha.

And oh how we had heated debates as to who was the cuter F4? I'd still go for Wa Ze Lei over Dao Meng Se. hahaha. And the big TV Network argument, Junel was a big fan of GMA 7 while everyone was on ABS-CBN. Junel, he's the Britanica boy, every point during history class was always backed up with a britanica file. (lol) I saw lots of cat fights: what a fun to watch (kidding :p) Because there are always insecure girls who can't get over the campus crush' new girl friend. (get grilled, baby)

In high school, I met real good friends. The ones who offered me my first taste of beer. The same friends who had me cut class just to get lots of library ssshhhh doing Quiz Masters. The good old friends who'd teased me so hard with my crush, who ran hard just to catch me and loved knot me and I blushed (I used to be really shy :p) I can't forget how I stalked my high school crush Bryan. haha. (with the help of Chil, of course- she seems to know the way around the cute guys in school) And how I handled a day-to-day dog-cat fights with Raymond, the cute guy everyone was crushing on that time who offered me to be his seatmate and became my high school boyfriend (fyi, haha, forget about high school, really) The friends who kept me in the dance group no matter how I dance like a limp. hehehe. And oh how they pushed to get me into to drama club, I just can't act well. I'm weird and crazy but not an actress. hehe.My friends who had me love the beach, we used to wake up at 4am and have a door-to-door fetch and head to the beach and just go crazy all over. My first heart break's when I learned that Al was really gay.hehe

High school was like being in a very close knit community where everyone knows each other's families. Where people know everything about you but are still not judgmental and you remain friends. We still attend high school reunions, we have a list of everyone's birthdays and other events thanks to Gelli.

In high school, I never have to keep anything or pretend to be someone. I was so real and I had so much fun. I learned that I couldn't get through the Army coz I just can't do sit ups and pull ups. haha. But my ever loving friends loved me any way :) I appreciate how I get to know more about my long time neighbors Nard and Leahn, it was cool. We can share assignments. Ah, how we stick together during quizzes, how Gelli writes the practice teacher's mispronounced words. How I accepted that Diana was a homerun valedictorian. How Lezlie can do my written orations very eloquently. How Petit and I shared lots of quirky things together. How Irose remained a very responsible leader and a very submissive daughter. How Nikki was always the strong one and she seemed like ahead of us, she knows the way around. How I can't figure out why Rose Ann tops the exams while reading pocketbooks all day. How Anjo was silent but really good at volleyball. How Kuya Mc was the Kuya. and yeah, the friendship of Joshua, Joven, Bok, Dharyl. And the bad boy Magnus and how he fell in love, and made the blackboard side cabinet his personal locker. How the twins would be serenaded by their boyfriends from other class. How I made April cry thrice the entire high school (yeah, i wasn't bullying her, ok?). How kreemlyn, Marijac, Viena, Meya, Shem seemed like the big girls or the matured ones. hehehe. The silent ones Kristeen, Cha2x and Mona, hehe sorry I almost missed you on this blog. :p And Cristy's curly hair, how Kleosyl was annoying, really crushing on Tamon, ugh, haha.

Sorry if I can't put everyone in here, I know that you know how our high school was really fun right? Hyacinth, Juvel, Loresa? hehe Loresa and Nilo, always the hands up students. haha. Yeah, the musikeros Irene and Mau2x, i envy how you two can play the guitars, you rock!

Oh high school, life was simple yet really full of real fun. How we all prepared for the monthly Convocation, and we were eager to volunteer for any role just to have additional points. haha. How we have to attend the flag ceremony everyday for 4 years and get slapped by Sir Perez when we're late. How we struggled to be the teacher's pet. How we paired our single Math and English teachers. They've never been a couple but the love knot was a close one. And until now, we all remain friends and catch up with each other's lives, we still have our get togethers during May and December. I know we were all saddened when Bren had to go to heaven before us, we cried but maybe his soul was too precious to God, He just had to take him back up there.
Yes, Ritz, Rubylyn and many others have their babies on their own but you all will always be my high school friends, and family. Thank you so much for everything guys! Mwah

Damn, why don't I have our really uncool high school pictures in here for some reminiscing? ugh! (I need sponsors of old pictures in any kind, hehe)

I'm awksome & adorkable, my cute way of justifying my clumsiness. Born in PH 1989, last wave of people born in the 80's. Never stop learning. I'm a licensed nurse who currently studies law. I'd probably learn pastry making soon but maybe calligraphy lessons sooner. Normal is boring. Most of the people close to me prolly think I'm weird. I dunno. About the Blog

WONOLOGUES is an experimental blog I started in 2008. I coined it by combining WOWO+MONOLOGUES. Wowo is my nickname. I was told that it came from the word "wow". I believed them. I envision this blog to be a wonderful monologue as told by Wowo, just a hodgepodge of all things I find wonderful. I just came back from a year of hiatus. New blog posts weekly.
