we stood on a boat! hihi |
Kuya Philip and Ate Aubrey spent a lovely holiday in Maldives and obviously, they took a lot of #relationshipgoals #vacation photos. Kuya sent me some clips and snaps that they had and man, was I jealous! (READ: middle child syndrome) So, being the inggitera lil sis that I was, I bugged my Ming to take me to Maldives. lol Wishful thinking?!!!!
Kuya Philip's facebook gallery from Maldives, still envious hehe |
But of course, my Ming didn't want to disappoint. He took me sa Maldives hahahaha
A few days after my birthday and to celebrate our 29th of every month, Jed and I packed our bags and made our way to Canibad, a hidden paradise in Samal.
So , Samaldives, okay? hehe
on the way to Maldives lol |
side by side |
before the bumpy, muddy, slippery road ahead hehe |
We rode a scooter and took a barge which charged P50 for the motorcycle from Sasa to Babak, Samal. (Different rates dependig on your car.) Canibad is about 20 km away from Babak proper. It was more or less an hour of travel. It rained the day before so the road was muddy and slippery. We got lost for a while, so bring in some GPS or maps.
(You may also opt to ride the motorcycles from Babak wharf and negotiate with the drivers. They may charge around P150-P250, largely dependent on your charm.) *wink*
(Caveat: May 29, 2016 context. As of this writing, there might be a lot of changes in Canibad since the last time we've been there. There was an ongoing construction at nearby resorts then.)
our baby tent, Yellow na color orange, don't ask! haha |
We set up our tent at Canibad Secret Paradise Resort
I think we paid around P300 to pitch the tent and around P50 each for entrance fee, I think (sorry, my memory beats me! huhu). The place had no powder white sand, the beach had pebbles! huhuhu Glad that the caretaker was kind enough to lend us boxes, balikbayan boxes just so we can have a decent flat surface to sleep on. Thank God for good people on earth.
No corkage fee. You can bring lechon and the entire kitchen sink! hehe
but please be responsible of your trash,
Glad we bought our own food. Whew!
There are also airconditioned rooms available.
halfway to the cliff, or maybe a third of the way to the cliff hehe |
look at those brave souls in the background |
Here are our snaps (raw shots taken using GoPro Hero 3 Black) from that overnight getaway.
\I love you! |
we struggled to stand on the boat, the struggle is real huhu |
I would definitely suggest that you rent a bangka, boat, whatever you call it.
The bangka comes with free wifi for P99/hour only hehe
It can fit 1-2 persons plus you can kindly ask someone to paddle the bangka for you. (you lazy arse) The bigger boat is for P149/hour, ideal for barkada or family of 4-6. It's really fun rowing (?) the boat around. hihi
I heart you Ming na nagpinky finger haha what?! |
