*keep your cool, win or lose*

It's easier for a man to take defeat graciously than to remain humble in times of triumph.

We all have this competitive spirit. We fight to win. We give our all to achieve our goals. I mean, c'mon! I don't think anyone joins a race to finish last, right?

A competition always has a winner and a loser. As much as we want to win all the time, we sometimes fall on the losing team. Our best sometimes just isn't enough.

It's easy to sulk in the corner, cry and act like a baby and be bitter and try to convince ourselves that we should have won.

It's a tough call to stay there, celebrating without looking like an air head.

I am very much guilty of looking like a big jerk for a little piece of trophy or some kind of recognition.

Who's to blame? Winning just feels so damn good. Doesn't it?

So a lot of inspirational, self-help books have been published talking about how to handle rejection, losing, or whatever negative things the world has dump on. Yeah right. I'm not sure if I just missed out when I visited the book store, but there aren't any book solely dedicated on remaining humble. I regard the value of humility so highly, I really don't know if I'm capable of practicing it or what.

Props to those who remained humble in their success. To those who really valued and practiced humility in their lives without stepping onto others. To those who counted their blessings but not out loud. To those who continuously search for truth. To those who truly served mankind.

I'm awksome & adorkable, my cute way of justifying my clumsiness. Born in PH 1989, last wave of people born in the 80's. Never stop learning. I'm a licensed nurse who currently studies law. I'd probably learn pastry making soon but maybe calligraphy lessons sooner. Normal is boring. Most of the people close to me prolly think I'm weird. I dunno. Love is my religion, I'm a low-key agnostic. Jed's greatest fan or biggest headache. hihi

About the Blog

WONOLOGUES is an experimental blog I started in 2008. I coined it by combining WOWO+MONOLOGUES. Wowo is my nickname. I was told that it came from the word "wow". I believed them. I envision this blog to be a wonderful monologue as told by Wowo, just a hodgepodge of all things I find wonderful. I just came back from a year of hiatus. New blog posts weekly.
