Growing up, I was such a tomboy. So when I told everyone I had just signed up to become a beauty consultant, they were in awe.
Haha In my younger days, I had really short hair, the school-boy hair, hahaha so just imagine how my family and closest friends react, I bet they never thought of me venturing in anything close to being such a kikay.
Haha they're now dubbing me as "bayot" (or babaeng bakla/ gay). Ooops, why oh why?
I should have known earlier how fun it is to dress up! *blushies* From choosing a nice dress, or a pair of skirt and cute blouse to donning a really chic blazer, not to mention the pain-defying high heels, *wink* hahaha people change, and as for me, it was a kikay overhaul! Haha Now, I could never have enough of green eyeshadow. Hehe
Back in my days as a girly-tomboy, I thought beauty and fashion were mere shallow forms of self expression. Yeah, I was really a hater. That anything deviating from the "natural look" was a clown. *boom* I was really harsh to those faces who hid from thick foundations and dolled up with eye-popping colors and yes, the "just-ate-lechon" overdose of lipgloss, hahaha
Ooops :p
Now, I am a firm believer that a good personality needs to have a good-looking face too. Yes! You can read that again.
So to my girls out there, if you don't know how to do the "no-makeup makeup look" (well, just like me, haha) ; you can never go wrong with a dose of cheek&lip color and a mascara. Don't you forget to choose the right foundation or face powder for you. (Oiliness is next to ugliness). Wow, do I sound like an expert. Haha
As for my boys, easy on the make up, haha let me pressure you to have good skin, not necessarily baby skin but at least, please look clean, avoid the oil in your face. Weeee. And yes, it wouldn't make you less of a man if you know how to use moisturizer and sunscreen. *wink*
Hands up my beautiful boys and girls.
For those with personality problem, read this: act according to your beauty :p and here's a cure for your bad attitude, go eat that makeup. *just kidding*
I know beauty isn't and shouldn't be just skin deep but it isn't wrong to make an effort to look good, right? :) I tell you, more and more good things would come your way. :)
So, what's your kikay story? :)
