Picture this, overloaded public utility jeep at midnight. Looks like an “uso-uso” (fast riding jeepneys with supah bass sound system) right? A few minutes after my 8-hour shift as pulmonary/ICU nurse, I experienced hurdles of ultimate challenges. Give me a grand prize for this amazing race I went through.

Challenge#1. Braving through hundreds of shoppers on a mall wide sale to find items for my ultimate Christmas wish list for the upcoming hospital party.

Challenge #2. Walking around for almost two hours of window shopping without really knowing what I am looking for.

Challenge #3. Doing the window shopping alone.

Challenge #4. Having a dilemma between getting on a cab (around 220php), or waiting for a pleasant PUJ (around 25php) to get home.

Put the pieces together - Fixing a broken heart

Here I am again, thinking real hard to have something to write about. I’ve talked about my boyfriend, then my best friend, and thanks to Cham (maybe she’s in much infatuation these days, got me to write about love.) Love is a many splendored thing. Or was it something like that, well I don’t know, I am not sure so I am basically writing anything about this love, whatever comes to mind, alright.

“Six years, itatapon mo ang lahat ng ganun2x lang?”, yeah, a relationship could have gone for a much longer period but the years won’t guarantee that you’d end up together. And a break up doesn’t mean the relationship failed or you failed as a person for not sticking into the relationship.

Taming - My friend through thick and thicker :)

I am running out of topics to write about in this blog site, so I thought, why not pay tribute (parang heroes lang oh, lol), to my friends who had been part of my life since my awkward stages where I had a boy cut and poor choice of clothes, and saw my metamorphosis (really,haha). This may be a tearjerker, get your hankies ready in there, this is still my blog, so no violent reactions allowed!

Taming, he was born Hermie Obeso, but I started calling him Taming since because it suits him and it sounds cute, right? I actually gave him that nice nickname (sweet huh) then all-of-a-sudden all our other friends from grade school called him Taming, all throughout high school until now that we’ve lost our baby fats that turned into beer bellies and “matured fats”, (haha). That’s very historical for a name. We’ve known each other since second grade; our fathers were “kumpadres”, our siblings were classmates too, so we basically grew up with each other’s family.

What you'll need:

3 cups Sifted All Purpose Flour

1 cup Cocoa Powder

1 tsp Baking Soda

2 tsp Baking Powder

3 cups Sugar

1 bar Butter, softened

1 cup Walnuts, chopped

6 whole eggs

1 tsp Vanilla

I guess there are really some things we can never explain. You love him but you gotta stay away from each other.

S-P-A-C-E.

It's something you know you both need...

so you could think.

so you could figure out what you really want.

so you could breathe and find yourself.

so.. so.. so..

you could clearly feel if love's still there.

In love, you share a part of yourself with someone special. You share your time, your efforts, your heart. You let them in. You let them be a part of your life, not your entire life. In a relationship, never lose yourself. And never let anybody else lose their self in you.

Love is supposed to take your breath away, not your whole life. His love should help you grow, not suffocate you. You give him love. You accept his love. Never love him more than yourself. Never let him love you more than his life.

And never let his love become too much it may give you less oxygen to breathe and less space to move. Don't let his love be the reason for you to feel lost.

'Cause sometimes people walk away from a relationship,not because they fell out of love, but because love became way out of hand.

And oftentimes, they have to break their partner's heart to save theirs.

I have lots of people to call friends. Uhm, we all have friends, right? And i miss them now more than ever.

My Brokenshirian Family. We have been more than friends, our bond is like that of a family, though I am not really open with them but I was being true in their fronts and in their backs (lol), yet they still remained close like my brothers and sisters. We've been college acquaintances and we were forced to stick together under one very tight enclosed office for a year. We were obliged to go on team buildings, lots of seminars and workshops, I am glad I volunteered because I get to not only be part of a school legacy (yearbook) but we each can have imprinted in each other's lives. From Emman - funny grand slam leaderng, Mich - the org's ATM, Sherry - everybody's ate, Camz - ang batang NBSB, June - the O.C., Mark - the stranger artist, Jay - the moon's laughing gem, down to Rae - the silent mommy, Eloise - the outspoen fashionista, Rex - ang malabong photographer, Jet - the hot teacher, Pipoy - hari ng raket, Kuya Ern - the good dad. Thank you for the lots of food that we ate, our bondings have extended from the making of the yearbook to catching up with each other's lives - our work, love lives, fanily life. Thanks for the dressed up parties and the many trips to the beach and love of adventure. You will all be always a great part of my life. You welcomed me into your lives and have not judged me with my words and actions.
